Keith DeFrain is the co-owner of Salon SwAnK, where he works alongside his business partner and best friend, Alex, to lead team development, business growth, and daily operations. A true salon visionary, Keith combines his sharp eye for design, business strategy, and team building to create a thriving, high-performing salon environment.

After years of building his reputation behind the chair with precision color and cutting expertise, Keith has dedicated his career to coaching and developing stylists to reach their maximum potential. His bold leadership and commitment to excellence have shaped Salon SwAnK into a space known for its strong culture, continuous education, and exceptional guest experience.

Keith is known for his unapologetic honesty, fearless style, and quick wit. Outside of the salon, you can find him adventuring downtown, spending time with friends, watching documentaries, and loving on his two kitties, Luna and Fennick.

Alex

ZANIOL

Alex Zaniol is the co-owner of Salon Swank, where she works closely with her business partner and best friend, Keith, to support team development, business growth, and day-to-day operations. After years behind the chair as a Redken-certified stylist, Alex shifted her focus to mentoring the team, building systems for success, and helping create a strong, supportive salon culture.

She’s passionate about helping stylists build sustainable, thriving careers and has played a key role in Salon Swank’s growth and expansion, both in team and space.
Alex is married to her high school sweetheart, Torri, and has two sports-obsessed boys. She’s an avid foodie, travel enthusiast, and loves spending time with her family in St. Pete.

Sunny

Rufin

Sunny is a native to Saint Petersburg, Florida. She has been in the industry for over 10 years working as a stylist, manager, and educator. Sunny enjoys the ongoing education and the team environment at Salon Swank. She is a Redken Artist, which enables her to share her knowledge with other salons and stylists and make a difference as an educator in the hair industry. She is also a Redken Specialist and Color Certified. Sunny started working in the cosmetology industry because she loves fashion and beauty, but more importantly, adores helping people. Some fun facts about Sunny are that she loves kayaking, her two rescue dogs, Del Ray and Teddy, reading, and trying new restaurants in the area.

TEAM MANAGER / EDUCATOR

Jenny

FRAIN

Jenny Frain is one of Salon Swank’s educators and managers. She has been with the salon since 2014, but started working in the salon industry when she was just 16 years old. Hair design is something Jenny has always had a love for. She finds inspiration in everything around her. Her favorite part of being a stylist is getting to be creative while building relationships and growing with her guests and coworkers. The team atmosphere and focus on education is Jenny’s favorite aspect of Salon Swank. She says “It’s so inspiring to receive the amount of education we do! It’s impossible to get bored when we’re constantly learning new techniques from Redken and Pureology.” In 2019, Jenny became a Redken specialist and visited the Redken Exchange in New York City. She recently welcomed twins, Liam and Lillian, with her husband Kevin. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and doing renovation projects around her new home.
